Rwanda Student Trip 2012
AFP is excited to bring our first group of students to Rwanda in January 2012. Through this academic/artistic experience students will travel from Buffalo, New York to Rwanda (and possibly the Democratic Republic of Congo) to visit multiple cultural, artistic and genocide-related sites. These unique experiences will fuel a collaborative project with young Rwandan artists to create an original piece of theater together. The students will travel with humanitarian Carl Wilkens and Professor Drew Kahn. Hope Azeda, Artistic Director of Mashirika Theater Company, will co-direct the performance process with Professor Kahn. We will be sharing the entire experience via our AFP 2012 Rwanda BLOG.
